About FOG Energy
title

54X Net Energy Production

The FOG Energy System produces 54X more energy than is required to process FOG waste. Measured over 3 years of operation and 3 million gallons processed, the FOG Energy System averages 92,360 BTU per gallon of grease processed, while using less than 2,000 BTUs of energy in its continuous operation.

Energy Production

The biological transformation of raw FOG Waste into an energy rich and bio-available feedstock maximizes biogas production and quality. In the 3 year operating history of the FOG Energy System, the methane content of biogas emitted by the anaerobic digestion process went from 60% to 75%.

The FOG Energy System has a comprehensive solution which addresses and properly disposes of all aspects of trap waste – grease, food waste, wastewater, and debris in a single integrated process. It does so in a completely automated fashion, allowing for smooth continuous introduction of feedstock material into your digester without clogging or disrupting anaerobic digester performance. Other approaches often place the burden on haulers or refiners to pre-process feedstock before it can be refined or digested. These approaches have a cost which is often not directly measured, but degrades the overall yield and value of a FOG initiative.
