    FOG Energy Corporation has the only commercially available system for converting FOG waste into clean renewable energy without any pre-processing, catalysts or chemicals. Our high yield process leverages a unique and patented biological process to unlock the potential of this difficult to dispose of municipal waste. Invented by waste water treatment plant operators and technologists, the FOG Energy System has an unmatched combination of clean energy production, ease of use and reliability. January 2007 marked the start of operation for the founder’s site in Northern California and, to date, the FOG Energy System has processed more than 3 million gallons of FOG waste and created enough biogas to offset nearly all of the power used at the Millbrae, California wastewater treatment plant. Over the intervening years, the system has gained broad recognition at both local and federal levels, with delegations from many states, cities and the US Congress visiting the site. FOG Energy System inventors Richard York and Joe Magner's efforts culminated in a US Patent (# 7,485,230 B2) being granted in February 2008 in recognition of the breakthrough they conceived and built. FOG Energy Corporation is the exclusive licensee of the patent for the FOG Energy System, and was launched in 2009 to promote the adoption of this system across the United States and globally.
